Inspired by the natural rhythms of island life, Faie d’Aur is a rich, concentrated blend of botanical oils and plant extracts created to nourish, soften and replenish the skin.

Sometime in the making, a carefully chosen blend of plant oils, island-grown Calendula and hand-harvested Guernsey seaweeds, in a formula rooted in botanical knowledge, with a deep respect for nature and with a real love of the special plant ingredients.

Created by hand in small batches, Faie d’Aur brings together the golden richness of exquisite quality botanical lipids, herb and seaweed extracts and naturally occurring fatty acids, antioxidant and nutrient compounds found in its plant oils, creating a whole and natural daily nourishing ritual for skin that loves life in the elements.

Life on an island has its own particular beauty. Fresh sea air, coastal breezes, changing seasons and long glorious days outdoors are part of its rhythm. They are also a reminder of the importance of caring for the skin.

Faie d’Aur has been exclusively formulated around a treasure trove of the finest botanical lipid concentrates, Guernsey seaweeds and Calendula extracts: naturally occurring plant oils, extracts and fatty acids that help soften the skin, reduce moisture loss, are rich in botanical nutrients and leave skin feeling supple, comfortable and naturally beaming. Each extract origin carefully chosen for its quality, freshness and provenance. Creating a blend that feels alive with goodness.

Rather than relying on ingredients chosen for their novelty, the formula brings together a very considered selection of plant oils, each a well known friend of herbalist Jemma Ricketts contributing its own distinctive fatty acid profile, texture, natural composition and benefits.

The result is something special, a concentrated, oil-based treatment designed to leave skin feeling nourished, smooth, strong and beautiful.

The botanicals within
A meeting of land and sea

Plum kernel oil, Meadow foam and Camelina oils create a complimentary balance of essential fatty acids that give a beautiful, readily absorbed, silky richness to the blend with naturally occurring oleic and linoleic acids smoothing and giving natural cushioning feel to the skin.

Blackcurrant, Rosehip, Blackberry, Pomegranate and Sea buckthorn oils bring nutrient dense elements to the formula, rich in naturally occurring vitamins and antioxidant compounds such as polyphenols and carotenoids that give the oil its rich golden glow. Specific essential fatty acids, including Punicic, Gamma linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids nourish deeply and give the blend its particular easily absorbed balance. These botanical oils in the formula also serve to help support skin comfort and elasticity, encouraging a healthy skin barrier and moisture balance.

Our island botanical infusion
Our in house infusion lends something very special to Faie d’Aur a part of Guernsey in every bottle.
Calendula, grown on the island and hand-harvested seaweeds from Guernseys crystal waters — Bladderwrack, Dulse and kelp are carefully prepared by hand before being infused into an organic Sunflower oil for a six week process of solar infusion where the warmth of golden Guernsey sunlight helps extract the goodness from the seaweeds and Calendula flowers in a slow, traditional and time honoured process.
This infusion gives heart to the formula, drawing on the strength of Calendula for its skin restorative properties and rich complex nutrients, fat soluble vitamins and antioxidant pigments found of each of the chosen Guernsey seaweeds. Giving Faie d'Aur a very special Guernsey heart.

The scent of island life
Scent gives the oil a third dimension, not only in the beauty, quality and rarity of the aromatics for well being but in the skin support each oil provides in the blend in the ultimate quest to craft natural skin comfort and support in natures everyday island elements. The scent inspired by the glorious citrus blossoms of Guernsey’s island glasshouses to the stoic strength and resinous warmth of coastal cedars, with the Sea Fennel between the Granite rocks on the shore, the aromatic character of Faie d’Aur is inspired by the scents and landscapes of the island of Guernsey, composed for both comfort and joy.

The result is a formula developed with consideration and made slowly with puropse, each small batch made by hand with care and attention to detail.

Made slowly, with purpose
Faie d’Aur is created by Enchanted Plants founder Jemma Ricketts, a herbalist and skincare formulator with two decades of experience.

That experience informs every part of the process: from selecting and sourcing botanical ingredients to preparing the island infusion and bringing the final blend together.

A daily ritual of nourishment
Warm a few drops between your palms and gently press into clean skin on the face and neck. Allow the oil to settle, taking a moment to enjoy its silky texture and breathe deeply the delicate nourishing Guernsey inspired botanical aroma. Especially restorative over night.

Use morning or evening, according to your skin's needs. A little goes a long way; apply sparingly while you understand your skins need.

Faie d’Aur can be used alone or layered with your usual moisturiser as part of your daily skincare ritual.
